Alone, Yet Not Alone.

Isn't it amazing that we have such an amazing savior.
We may think that when the hard times come God isn't there.
But, that is exactly when he holds us closest.
God is always beside us no matter what we are going through.

Joni Erickson Tada is an amazing singer as shown by this beautiful song.
She is a quadriplegic and has quite a story...wonderful in fact.
Her book is the best reference though:  Joni: An Unforgettable Story

  1. This reminds me of this poem:
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
    when I was suffering from
    anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
    ‘You promised me Lord,
    that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?’

    The Lord replied,
‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
    is when I carried you.’

    He is always with us!

    1. I love that poem too!
      Thanks for the comment Kara!

  2. Hi Julie!

It is true that when difficulty and hardship occur, we tend to question God's character or presence in our lives...yet it is precisely such times that God uses to conform us more into the image of His Son and build our character, show us our need for Him, and strengthen our trust and faith in Him.

Thank you for this post. Joni Eareckson Tada has an interesting and inspiring history, indeed!
